Enthusiasm is contagious

We live and work in a beautiful natural area, the protection of which is a high priority for us. Cycling is a popular leisure activity here. We would like to make cycling even more attractive in all regions. This includes a perfect bicycle infrastructure. Sustainability: Made in Germany

Responsibility for our local environment is a high priority for us in a globalizing world.

Since 70 years Veyhl develops and produces, on a place where other people would go on holidays: In Zwerenberg in the Black Forest. From the very beginning, Veyhl, as one of the largest employers in the district, has also borne responsibility for its environment, employees and partners. We do not see ecology and economy as opposites, but as two crucial elements of the whole. As a leader of innovation and technology, our goal is to design and maintain a desirable living environment - for nature, people and animals.

Due to our high vertical manufacture range, we are directly able to ensure the quality of our products and guarantee good working conditions. Suppliers must support these standards accordingly. We focus in particular on supplier relationships in the local environment. 90% of our suppliers come from Germany, 97% from Europe.

Historical roots

Connected to tradition, on the trail of the new

In 1951, Hugo and Gertrud Veyhl and two employees founded today's Veyhl GmbH in a former anti-aircraft hangar in Zwerenberg in the Black Forest. From the very start, the founding couple set themselves the goal of developing something new. In the meantime, we have been developing and producing in Zwerenberg in the Black Forest for over 70 years.

Even today, it is the inventive spirit and the innovative spirit of the founding years that characterize the corporate culture and daily work at Veyhl. Responsibility for our local environment is a high priority for us in a globalizing world.

Quality and environment

Our corporate culture is based on fundamental quality and environmental objectives initiated by top management. Through systematically planned processes, we aim to ensure at all times that negative environmental impacts are avoided and the best possible quality is achieved for our customers. The aim is to consistently develop the effectiveness and efficiency of our products and processes and to comprehensively safeguard the requirements of sustainable production. Interdisciplinary teams continuously drive this process forward and promote awareness among the workforce.

97% of our products are recyclable

97% of our products are recyclable

From the procurement of our materials through to delivery, we ensure that our raw materials are used in a way that conserves resources. This is also our focus during development: The high quality and durability of our products as well as a recycling-friendly design for unmixed disassembly at the end of the product life cycle are among our goals. Through product environmental profiles, we create the necessary transparency about the composition, origin and recyclability of the materials we use.

Sustainable in production

Sustainable in production

With our active hazardous substances register, we guarantee 100% CMR (cancerogen mutagen reprotoxic) free production. This ensures that no hazardous substances are released to humans or the environment.  Already in 2013, we switched our electroplating process from chrome 6 to the more environmentally friendly chrome 3. We have our own closed water circuit. Our water treatment plant is checked daily to prevent potential pollutants from being released to local wastewater treatment plants or groundwater. As part of our environmental goals, we pay attention to the environmental compatibility of the materials and technologies we use. Energy efficiency and environmental protection are among the key criteria, particularly in the case of investments. We want to prevent emissions and reduce them to a minimum. Our exhaust air filter system filters emissions in the welding and grinding area and returns the filtered air to the air cycle.

Promoting the recyclable materials cycle

Promoting the recyclable materials cycle

Comprehensive recycling management ensures that our materials are separated by type in the disposal process, thus focusing on the recyclability of the resources used. 100% of our metal scrap is returned to the recyclable material cycle by melting it down. However, our main goal starts even earlier: We want to prevent waste from being generated in the first place and continuously minimize it. Since 2019, for example, we have reduced our paper consumption by over 30 percent.

Perception of social responsibility

Perception of social responsibility

We are aware of our responsibility for the cultural and educational environment in which we operate, and we are committed to helping shape it. That is why we cultivate the cooperation and support of various regional institutions. Since 2018, we have been a cooperation partner of the Neubulach Community School and invest passionately in the topics of vocational training and career orientation. This also includes membership in the "Berufswahlkompass Metall" project of BBQ Bildung und Berufliche Qualifizierung gGmbH, offering company tours for school classes, workshops at schools, participation in Girls Day, and offering various internships as well as technician and bachelor theses. We have also been a partner of the dual university in Stuttgart, Horb branch, for over 30 years. Since 2016, we have been supporting the Calw district as a sponsor in the expansion of local continuing education opportunities and promoting the "Innovation Management" continuing education and qualification program of the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences at the Nagold site.

Automation and engineering

High vertical range of manufacture

From the idea to the realization: Equipped with state-of-the-art laser, punching, welding and surface technologies, we produce individual components as well as welded assemblies up to complex systems. A growing variety of products and shorter delivery times are challenges that we meet with our automation strategy and flexible manufacturing processes. They lay the foundation for economical and sustainable production.
